24x7 WiFi, LAN connections in every room , single seater rooms, double seater rooms, sick rooms, 24x7 electricity, common room , washroom, specially designed washroom for specially abled, hot water supply, 24x7 security service, drinking water cooler, laundry service, elevators, a pantry on each floor of each hostel equipped with a refrigerator, microwave oven and induction stove. There are also a number of stores including general store, grocery store, hair salon, and cafes and eateries within the hostel premises.
IIT Gandhinagar believes in ownership of campus by the students, all hostels are managed by students through the hostel maintenance committee. These hostels have a number of conveniences and facilities including convenience shops and eateries, a mini library with a reading room, laundry facilities, students lounge with indoor games, music room, art room, common rooms and sports courts. ...
The Hostel Office is located within the hostel area . The Hostel Council comprises the Warden and a number of elected student secretaries that look into hostel-related matters.

Two student messes are operational at IIT Gandhinagar which serves food to the entire hostel community and visitors. IITGN is the
first and only educational institute in the country to be certified by FSSAI
(Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) as ‘Eat Right
Campus’ with a 5 star rating. IITGN ensures high standards
for the quality of food served at its dining halls and the other
eating joints. Appropriate measures are taken to maintain
cleanliness and hygiene. All the food joints of the campus
have valid FSSAI license. The institute focuses on healthy
food habits; the menu served in the mess is tailored every
month by the student mess council for a balanced and
nutritious diet. The mess also serves Jain food to students who prefer it.
