What I find when I check my mail at 6 in the evening…
“DCS Exam shifted from November 21 to November 25.”
OMG! This was actually least expected after no response from the scheduling committee for 5 long days. I immediately ran to Jay’s room shouting at his door, “Jay…. Darwaajaa khol.. Kyaa chhupke baitha hai andar.” I told him that exam dates shifted, “I just received the confirmation mail for our request.” “Do you remember this morning, I paid for the ice-cream that we had? Consider it from my side for this news.” And he was like, “ no no no, I’ll give you money for that.”
This was the best thing that happened today after “Nice Lecture on Legendre and Hermit polynomials, Tunneling phenomena and passionate debates in today’s lectures.”
After the dinner, I’d a walk with my “good” friends, yes!! Now Aditya is also included in my good friends’ list. So, what I find in a conversation with our senior just after that. Nikhil pointed at me and told “Hey! You are under Ragavan sir na?” I told him yes. “Great yaar… now he’s an Associate Professor.” I was so happy to hear that, though I didn’t know why, but I was happy. And suddenly he’s like “Dekhna Dhyaan rakhna, sir’s expectations are very high.” Jay told him that this guy will fulfill his expectations, he has that caliber. From inside I was like “Arre mere Dost… bas kar .. rulaayega kyaa.” Nikhil was describing how two of my seniors got unsatisfactory grades in their thesis credits. This was making me a bit cautious but motivating me more towards working with Ragavan sir.
It’s the examination season here at IITGn and obviously, the environment is bit tensed. But it was a great day.
