There is a deep voice that resonates within me….
Asking me questions in endless torrents;
Of pain and hurt; Of shame and frustration
I bear no answer….
For the world doesn’t make sense anymore.
Am I still the laughing carefree spirit?
Dancing in the rain, hypnotized by the color of a flower and wearing the cloak of sunshine.
Or the moon child who loves to feel the faint alluring moonbeams and the twinkling stars.
I sense I am not her anymore
For the world feels different now……
More forced and more toxic to human feelings and emotions alike.
There is no truth in love today..
Love is lust and hatred mixed as a concoction to feed the cowardly.
Try as I might I cannot understand the language of love in these dark times
For my heart is burnt and lonely.
I wish to conquer and be conquered
For love does both in equal measures
It sets the spirit free and makes your soul sparkle
And will make you feel warm and alive to face any hurdle
Maybe Life isn’t about finding that special someone
Maybe life is about setting oneself free
From the thousand illusions that trap me with many vices
And control my destiny.
Whatever it is that life bears, I have many scars to proudly say
” I was once a moon-child dancing in a meadow under the starry skies..”
“But now I a child of destiny with many battle scars but still more beautiful than ever.”
